- Metinvest Polytechnic is a grand educational and infrastructure project. For Mariupol it means an attraction of talented young people to the city, for the country - new quality of education, for future students - in-demand professions and a guarantee of employment. Nothing will prevent us from building a dream university, the type of which has never been built in Ukraine. I am sure that the first undergraduate students, whose intake is planned in September 2022, will already be studying in the new state-of-the-art building.
Sergey Shkarlet, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine:
It is a very powerful business move, which shows that today the country should not be in the margins of the world, but should follow the advanced technologies of the sixth wave of innovation - this is the idea behind the development of this university. This is a great move of public-private partnership, which shows that business is committed to education, science, future, to filling all those positive processes and events that should take place in Ukraine, by highly professional qualified personnel. I am very pleased that it is in Donbas, in cooperation with other institutions and with the support of such a powerful investor as Metinvest, this historic event takes place.
