Poland buys Ukrainian components. Corum Group heavy engineering arm of DTEK has won a tender of Polska Grupa Górnicza S.A. (PGG), Europe's biggest mining company. Corum Svitlo Shakhtaria (Kharkiv) and Corum Druzhkivka Heavy Engineering Plant (Druzhkivka) will produce cast components for powered supports. This is the third order Corum has received from PGG over the year.
"Orders from PGG have totalled over UAH 750 million this year. This means not only investment in the national economy, but also utilisation of our capacities and job stability for 4,000 employees. This means salaries, social benefits, and tax revenues," stated Mykhailo Potapov, acting CEO of Corum Group.
The new order will be shipped in early 2020. Last year, Corum Group supplied a powered set of 140 ZRP 15/35 supports to PGG. Now the facility functions fully at Sośnica mine. Corum Druzhkivka Heavy Engineering Plant will manufacture one more longwall set of 135 powered supports for Piast-Ziemowit mine under PGG's umbrella.
Corum Group performs orders in compliance with European production standards and its international certificates, ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 3834-2:2008 Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials, which confirm that the Company's production processes meet European standards.
