SCM’s development strategy is based on two equally important aims: building a prosperous and profitable business and to be a responsible corporate citizen. SCM is one of the largest Ukrainian companies with over 160 thousand employees. We understand the scale of our influence upon the social and economic development of the country and we recognise our commitments before the society.

In order to take our approaches in the area of CSR in a clearly structured way and to focus efforts of SCM Group on solution of the most pressing social problems five key areas of corporate social responsibility have been specified by the Group. On the basis of the SCM’s visions for each of the five areas a number of principles have been developed, which shape our policy and action. All businesses of SCM Group operating in different sectors (steel industry and energy sector, finance and telecommunications, media and real estate, etc.) follow the common policy containing key principles and approaches have been developed. According to the provisions of the policies the companies of SCM Group carry out their CSR projects and programmes maintaining the status of a responsible corporate citizen.
