Donbass Fuel-Energy Company (Russian abbreviation DTEK) is the first private vertically integrated power generating company of Ukraine. DTEK combines companies from coal production and enrichment to electric power generation and distribution.

DTEK is the leader of Ukraine’s fuel and energy sector. The company includes the largest producers of steam coal and leading Ukrainian power generating companies.

The key strategic goal of DTEK is to become the largest company in the power energy field in Ukraine.

In order to achieve this goal the Company plans for the period up to the year 2012:

<       to ensure the organic growth of its existing assets value;

<       to create a stable vertically integrated business with a diversified asset portfolio;

<       to improve the key performance indicators of the assets to the level of the advanced power generating companies in the rest of Europe.
