The development strategy of SCM Group is based on two principles: SCM as a successful business and SCM as a socially responsible business that seeks to maximize its contribution in overall development of Ukraine.

All the businesses of SCM Group operate in CSR area being guided by the principles and approaches worked out by the experts of the Group. They use the best international practices and the highest CSR standards. At the same time they allow for the Ukrainian realities while the practical benefit for people remains their main value.

Before March, 2008 SCM`s corporate Foundation for Development of Ukraine (FDU) was in charge of the social investment projects focused on health care, culture and education. Since March, 2008 the FDU has been the personal Foundation of Rinat Akhmetov (the main shareholder of SCM) and remained SCM`s regular partner in sponsorship and charitable projects.

Since March, 2008 all charitable programs and projects of SCM in the area of social investment have been carried out on behalf of SCM directly.

SCM realizes a number of own projects focused on social investment and charity as well as is involved as a partner in other currently running programs and projects.
