System Capital Management (SCM) is Ukraine’s largest diversified group. Its business areas cover metals and mining, energy, machine building, finances, telecommunications, media and other sectors of the economy. SCM has over 90 companies under its control with about 160,000 people employed.

At present the dominant position in the Group, both in terms of production volumes and in terms of profit, is held by heavy industries. However, the strategy applied by the Group on business reorganization calls for an increase in the share of post-industrial areas- finance, telecommunications, media and others – in the general business structure of the SCM Group.

In order to ensure better management efficiency within one and the same sector or to create a single chain of value-creating, strong industrial holdings companies were established in the SCM Group: Metinvest Holding (mining and metals), DTEK (electric power), telecommunication businesses (fixed and mobile communications), SCM Finance (banking and insurance), Farlep Invest (telecommunications) and SCM Estate (real estate). In the future the Group intends to continue establishing industrial holdings within other business areas of SCM.
