covers the territory with 96% of Ukrainian population using GSM 900 and GSM
1800 standards. The subscribers base of life:) is 11.9 million people as of the
end of Q1 of 2010.
In the first quarter of 2010 the hryvna
income of life:) increased by 8.9% as compared to the same period of the
previous year and reached UAH663 million. The income estimated in US dollars
increased by 4.9% to $83.0 million. In Q1 of 2010 life:) achieved EBITDA of
$5.8 million, which is 61.1% higher than that of the first quarter of 2009. The
2010 Q1 EBITDA margin increased by 2.4 points to 7.0%.
In the first quarter of 2010 the base of
life:) subscribers increased by 2.6% to 8 million subscribers. Active
subscribers ARPU index remained at the same level since previous year. MoU
index slightly reduced in 2010 Q1 to the level of 156.2.
In 2010 life:) mobile operator has
commenced implementation of the new business-strategy aimed at improvement of
operational efficiency and profitability.
The strategic objectives of life:) cover

that match mobile communication with IT solutions. This will make the provider
an integrated source satisfying different communication needs such as mobile
communications, fixed-line serves, internet access, etc.
