Born in 1969 Mr. Popov graduated from
Donetsk Polytechnic Institute in 1990. In 1996 he graduated from Donetsk State
University. Before becoming Executive Director of System Capital Management, he
worked at various state establishments and enterprises for eight years.
Mr. Popov has been holding the post of
Chief Executive Officer in System Capital Management since December, 2005. He
is responsible for taking and approving the key financial, investment and
personnel decisions relating to both SCM and the company's assets. Besides the
assessment of SCM’s activities and assets, the management of other executives
comes within Mr. Popov's responsibilities.
Oleg Popov is the Chairman of the
Supervisory Board of the Joint Stock Company “Football Club “Shakhtar”
(Donetsk)”.
