Mr Aisautov
will oversee issues related to development and management of mining and metals
business within the framework of SCM's Group strategy of business development.
"SCM upholds the principle of
reasonable diversification, however mining and metals is
still the basis of the Group's business", said Oleg Popov, SCM CEO. "Being owners of the world-class
metal company, we have a good understanding of the business, its coverage,
existing challenges and arising opportunities. Therefore, we decided to
reinforce SCM team by introducing a new position - Director of Mining and
Metals Business Development and invited Mr Amir Aisautov
to occupy it."
As SCM Director of Mining and Metals
Business, Amir Aisautov
will represent SCM as a shareholder in supervisory boards of mining and metals
assets of the Group. Mr Aisautov will be responsible
for the development strategies of this business, investments, finances and
risks.
"Joining
SCM team is a big achievement for me. But it's also a huge responsibility, as
in the near future I will focus on management and development of SCM mining and
metals assets, which are vital both for SCM and the whole Ukraine. I hope that
knowledge and experience I’ve gained from my past jobs will help me deliver on
my assignments", commented Mr Aisautov.
Amir Aisautov
was born in 1979. Graduated from Kazakh National Technical University with a
degree in Economics and Business Management, Mr Aisautov
also got an MBA degree at School of Business at Georgetown University
(Washington, USA).
Before joining SCM, 2003-2008, Amir Aisautov was Senior Projects Manager at Moscow and Emirates
Offices of international consultancy McKinsey&Company.
August 2008-November 2009, Mr Aisautov worked as a
Director for Strategy and Investment at the managing company Clever Management.
